In the ad, the girl portrayed herself as being in Southern California and then soon revealed, in poor English, that she was actually in Russia. NBC Politics Bot allowed users to engage with the conversational agent via Facebook to identify breaking news topics that would be of interest to the network’s various audience demographics.
